Content Description

The Utah Climate Center Weather Data collection includes weather reports created by the center's weather stations. Most of the materials in this collection consist of weather station data for Utah. These materials are assumed to be directly related to the Utah Climate Center Weather Station reports.

There are additional Utah Climate Center collections for Weather Station , Office Files, Reports, and Centennial Stations.

Historical Note

The Utah Climate Center was founded in the early 1890s and operates under the Utah State University Plants, Soils, and Climate department. The Utah Climate Center collects, archives, analyzes, and distributes quality climatic data; researches climate and its effects on living organisms; and provides Utah with information to improve the quality of life. Acquisition Information

These files comprise materials removed from the EG Peterson Ag Building prior to its demolition during summer 2010.

Processing Note

Materials were originally processed in 2014. Reprocessed in 2025 as part of University Archives secondary processing project.
