Historical Note
This collection contains images donated by Michael Elvidge documenting the University of Utah Ski Team and the Celebration on Snow. The Celebration on Snow was a 2008 event and reunion to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Utah's Ski Team and skiing program. The event was held at the Snowbird Mountain Resort in Utah on April 18 through 20th, 2008, and was open to former members of the ski team, their families, and supporters of the program. The program coincided with the annual ski team banquet; in addition to this, it featured skiing, a family scavenger hunt, and other activities. It also featured a program honoring the 2008 Ski Team, who had placed on the podium of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Skiing Championships, as well as past team and individual NCAA champions.

This Michael Elvidge photograph collection contains 86 digital-only images. It contains 7 images of the University of Utah Ski Team, especially at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Skiing Championship, from 1994 to 1997; it also contains 79 images taken at the April 2008 Celebration on Snow commemorating 60 years of the University of Utah's ski program.
