Historical Note
Teva J. Scheer was an author, teacher, and human-resources consultant to the Internal Revenue Service. She wrote a biography of Nellie Tayloe Ross, who was the governor of Wyoming (and the first woman governor in the United States) from 1925 to 1927 and director of the United States Mint from 1933 to 1953.
Content Description
The Teva J. Scheer papers contain photocopies of research materials that Scheer used for her biography of Nellie Tayloe Ross. Also included are notes that Scheer made and microcassettes containing her interviews with people who knew Ross--interviewees were Brad Ross, Jane Jarvis, Ken Failor, Frederick Tate, and Ann and Ruth Loomis.
