Historical Note

Paris (b. 1925; d. 1977) worked as a musical composer in television advertising and for the television programs "The David Frost Show" and "Big Blue Marble." He was married to actor Dorothy Loudon.

The collection contains musical scores composed, arranged, or conducted by Paris, including scores for the television programs "The David Frost Show" and "Big Blue Marble" and commercials for Coca-Cola, Datsun, IBM, J.C. Penney, Mazda, Sperry New Holland, Toyota, and York Equipment. Also included are scores for singers Dorothy Loudon, Peggy King, and Bobby Van, as well as books about music that Paris collected, and a few other assorted materials.
