Content Description

The Richmond History Photograph Collection consists of materials gathered by the city of Richmond as part of a historical project documenting the history of Richmond, Utah. Most of the photos were taken by Arial Benson who was a local photographer and high school teacher. Included are photos of various class reunions for North Cache, Skyview, South Cache, Preston, and Logan High Schools. Also included are a number of USU photos from the late 1940s and early 1950s while Benson was a student at USU. Also included are CDs with photos gathered from a variety of sources such as USU Special Collections, State History, and the Herald Journal. Finally, there are miscellaneous Black and White Day Parade slides, Boy Scout photos, and Richmond historical photos.

Historical Note

The Richmond History Photograph Collection contains photos of Richmond, Utah. Most of the photos were taken by Arial Benson who was a local photographer and high school teacher. Many of these photos were used by Marlin W. Stum to research his book, Richmond: A History in Black and White, some of which were featured in the book itself.
