Biographical Note

Ruth Price went to China in 1928 and lived there until the beginning of the war in the Far East in 1937, when she and her husband and their infant daughter Joy established a home in Seattle. From 1937 to 1957 she served as Secretary for the China Club of Seattle. She participated in many organizations which worked to improve China-U.S. relations, and was the founder of the American Chinese Pioneer Historical Association, which worked to collect and preserve the history of early-day Chinese in this country.
