Historical Note

Upham Hall was named for Alfred Horatio Upham, the university President from 1920 to 1928. It was used as a men's dormitory, and housed more than three hundred students. Upham has was the west side of the dormitory, while Gault Hall was the east side. The entire building was demolished in 2003 for phase two of Living Learning Community.

Upham Hall was named after previous university President, Alfred Upham. Upham was the west wing of the Gault-Upham Residence building. The materials in this collection include photographs of gatherings by Upham residents and also includes Residence Hall Association papers and handbooks.
