Historical NoteReturn to Top

The Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce began in 1887 when many other chambers were opening up throughout American cities. The aim of the Chamber is to improve business in the Salt Lake City Area and is not under city or state control. Several businesses in the Salt Lake City area work together to staff the chamber. The Chamber is accredited by the United States Chamber of Commerce, an honor given to only ten percent of chambers nationwide.
