Historical Note

Transportation Services, a division of Facilities Services since 1996, encompasses Commuter Services, Fleet Services, and UW Shuttles. The office was formerly associated with UW Property and Transport Services, which also handled Moving & Surplus as well as Recycling & Solid Waste. Transportation Services continued to oversee these operations until 2010, when they were transferred to different divisions of Facilities Services.

Transportation Services' former names include Transportation Office and the Transportation and Technical Services Office. One of the major components of Transportation Services, Commuter Services, absorbed Parking Services (formerly the Parking Division) in 2007; Commuter Services oversees the UPASS program as well as parking facilities and permits.
