Content Description
Album compiled by Steve T. Travers, containing 60 black and white and 2 hand-colored photographs of houses and buildings in the Portland, Oregon, area with Pabco roofing. Some are dated and identified by address or owner; these include the homes of A. E. De Konig, Mrs. M. G. Watson, Mrs. G. M. Ede, the Holman family, and Walter J. Gearin. Other identified buildings include the Blue Lake Country Club, the Laurelhurst Club, and St. Johns Church. The album also includes photographs of many unidentified residences. Some pages include handwritten notes about the color or type of roofing material used on the houses depicted. In addition, the album includes pages taken from a Honeyman Hardware catalog that list roofing materials and supplies; a photograph of a window display for Pabco shingles at Honeyman Hardware; and clippings, primarily advertisements for Pabco shingles.
