Content Description
Guthrie served as the director of the Anvil Points Project in Colorado from 1949 to 1956. The project was a demonstration plant for the development of oil shale reserves in Utah and Colorado following World War II. Most of these photographs are of the Anvil Project with a few pertaining to early mining.
