Historical Note

James F. Wilson was a University of Wyoming graduate, having completed a degree in Animal Husbandry in 1913. He went on to serve first with the Wyoming experiment station dry farm and then with the U.S. Department of Agriculture upon receiving his master’s degree. After enlisting and serving in the Army, Wilson moved to Davisville, California with his wife where he was appointed Assistant Professor of Animal Husbandry. In 1944, Wilson earned a Doctor of Laws degree from UW. Later, he opened J. F. Wilson Associates Ltd. In 1949.

Collection contains 26 volumes of The Wyoming Student, a scrapbook of the University of Wyoming, 5 University of Wyoming programs, photographs, 2 books printed by the Laramie Printing Company titled The Coroner’s Jury and Modern Prayer Book for Western Plants, and a scrapbook of newspaper clippings about the Spanish-American War.
