Biographical Note

Wayne Lee Hall (1900-1968) was born in Washington state. He attended North Central High School in Spokane from 1915 to 1919 where he played on the football team. He worked at the Rambler Mine in British Columbia in 1919. He attended Washington State College in 1920 before transferring to University of Washington in 1921, and was involved in campus social clubs and played on the UW football team, even serving as team captain his last year, 1923. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He married Margaret Loie Howard in 1924 and they moved to New York City. Hall received a job as a plastics salesman for DuPont Cellophane, which required relocation to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Loie Howard wanted to remain at her job in New York, so the couple divorced.
