University of Utah Graduate School of Education records, 1977-1998

This collection consists of records created during the administrations of Deans Robert L. Erdman (1976-1983), Cecil G. Miskel (1983-1988), and Colleen S. Blankenship (1990-1999). Major topics covered include the College Council, convocations, the Dean's Advisory Group, reports to the Utah State Office of Education concerning certification of teacher education programs, and the University Advisory Council on Teacher Education. Approximately 1.75 linear feet of this collection consist of correspondence, information files, and retreat records from the Dean's Advisory Group which was comprised of the chairs of each department within the Graduate School of Education. The information files generally include agendas, minutes, and ancillary documents produced for their monthly meetings. This collection also contains nearly .25 linear feet of material from the University Advisory Committee on Teacher Education which was a university-wide committee that set policies for teacher-training programs.
