Historical Note

Palange (1917-1979), a composer, conductor, and arranger, led his own band in the mid-1930s and worked for symphony orchestras in Oakland and Los Angeles, California. Following World War II service in the U.S. Navy, Palange worked in radio, motion pictures, and television. He was conductor of the Beach Cities Symphony and various other Los Angeles area orchestras.
