Biographical Note

David Breck Morris (1938-2004) received a B.S. degree in Physics from the University of Utah in 1960. He served as a physicist in the United States Coast Guard and later worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. where he served in various capacities, including senior systems analyst, senior computer programmer, and manager of market research. He wrote many articles and essays while working at Kennecott, and also wrote many of the speeches for then president, G. Frank Joklik.

The David Breck Morris papers (1961-1993) consist mainly of speeches, articles, and essays, most of them written by Morris, in association with Kennecott Copper Corporation and the subject of applied physics. The collection also contains some information from Morris's military service, as well as information on Kennecott's history and mineral production.
