Historical Note
Guido D’Agostino (1910-) was a novelist and short story author who described the Italian American and Italian immigrant experience. Guido was born in Greenwich Village, New York in 1910. He moved to Pennsylvania in 1946. Both the city of New York and Wayne County, Pennsylvania served as settings for his writing. Some of his published works include “Olives on the Apple Tree” (1940), “Hills Beyond Manhattan” (1942), and “The Barking of a Lonely Fox” (1952). During World War II, D’Agostino worked for the Office of War Information writing radio broadcasts in both English and Italian.

This collection contains correspondence, bibliographic material, and manuscripts of Guido D'Agostino's work. Also included is propaganda work he wrote for the Office of War Information, travel orders, and expense accounts.
