Historical Note

Nolie Mumey was a well-known historian of the West and physician in the State of Colorado. In addition, Mumey also became an avid rare book collector and expert in the field. Upon relocating to Colorado, Mumey decided to learn more about the state and the city of Denver, becoming a collector of Western Americana and author. In all, Mumey wrote 86 books on western history and medical subjects. He was also known to have set up a printing press in his office basement. Other hobbies included photography, gardening, woodworking, jewelry making, cooking, and piloting.
