Historical Note
Baron Walter von Richthofen (1848-1898) founded the Denver Chamber of Commerce. He was also involved in the foundation of Montclair, Denver. Von Richthofen owned Richthofen Castle. When it was completed in 1887, the mansion became one of the most impressive residences in the Western United States.

Collection contains biographical and genealogical information about the Von Richthofen family, including photographs, newspaper articles, a marriage announcement, and other documents; and Baron von Richthofen’s certificate of appointment to commissioner of the Denver Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade in London.
