Yoshitani Obazawa operated a grocery store in Seattle before WWII and was an elder in the Blaine Memorial Methodist Church. After he moved to California, he frequently visited Seattle. He died in 1982.

Written in English and Japanese. About 99 of the English language material is religious quotations, apparently daily Bible readings copied out by hand. All programs and ephemera from various church activities are tipped in at the approriate day.
