Historical Note

Florence Douglass McClellan was born 4 January 1906 in Salt Lake City, the youngest of five children born to tabernacle organist John J. McClellan and his wife, Mary. She married Gilbert Sheets in March of 1933, and the couple raised two daughters: Carole Sheets Dibble and Sandra Sheets Denman. Florence Sheets died in Salt Lake City on 26 February 1984.
