  • Accession No. 1321-002: Episcopal Church Diocese of Olympia records, 1872-1979

    6 microfilm reels: 16 mm diazo negatives

    Scope and Content: Microfilm, 16 mm negatives, of the Diocese of Olympia records and Episcopalian publications.

    Proceedings, 1954-1974, are continued on rolls 4 and 5 of this accession. The designation "minutes" is misleading. Supporting documentaion for the minutes (which appears on the film after each set of minutes) is extensive and includes reports, financial records, statistics, and some correspondence. "Journal" refers to the published convocation and convention proceedings of the Diocese. The service ledger includes reports of baptisms, confirmations, marriages, burials, consecration of churches, lay readers, postulants, deacons, Clergy ledger is a list of clergy.

    Scope and Content: Microfilm of minutes, 1931-1981; parochial reports, 1935-1964; publications, 1851-1959.

    Parochial reports are annual reports by each church in the diocese. Some of the journals duplicate film already in the Libraries, probably at Microforns/Newspapers.

    Numbering of the reels in the accession is not a continuation of sequences in earlier installments.
