Biographical Note

Burley was a General Passenger and Ticket Agent for the Oregon Short Line Railroad in Salt Lake City. W. W. Woodside refers to William W. Woodside of Logan Utah who was a local agent for the Oregon Short line Railroad.

In the 1904 Polk Directory, there is a James M. Smith in Logan Utah of the Smith Brothers Lumber Co., but it is not confirmed as to whether or not this is the same individual referred to in these telegrams.
