Historical Note
Albert J. Kraemer (1892-1973) worked in various capacities within the Petroleum and Natural Gas Division of the U.S. Bureau of Mines, including as chemist, supervising engineering of oil shale investigations, and refinery engineer. He authored a number of publications regarding alternative motor fuels, crude oil properties, and other topics related to the petroleum industry. He was a member of the American Society for Testing Materials, American Chemical Society.

Articles, periodicals, and pamphlets regarding the petroleum industry, fuel development, and applied chemistry. Also correspondence (1935-1963), research notes, drafts on alternative motor fuels, motor gasoline surveys, crude oil surveys, and technical papers by Kraemer.
