Historical Note

Bertita Harding (1902-1971) was a German biographer of Hungarian royalty. She was popular for the humorous mood that she often adopted in her biographies about such figures as Emperor Maximilian of Mexico and Richard Wagner.

Content Description

Collection contains the manuscript novels by Harding titled The Pilgrimage, Cayenne, Play, Gypsy, The Angel View, and Nine Days in Mazatlán; and two translations by Harding of books titled Danger Now and Ladies of Displeasure.
