Content Description
Three (3) handwritten daily journals by Vernon and Ellen Gerig, 1960 - 1963. The couple moved from North Dakota to the Oregon Coast in 1960. Most of the entries are written by Ellen, and some are in shorthand. Also includes: one (1) fold-out souvenir map of the Black Hills of South Dakota, ca. 1950s; one (1) framed art piece with a sticker attached reading "Dakota Prairie Pictures" composed of dried plants and feathers, handwritten on the back : "Mother's Day gift from Vernon - May 13, 1956."
