Biographical Note
Charles Arthur Lindholm was born in White Rock, Minnesota on December 15,1876 and died around 1947. His parents were Charles Philip Lindolm and Helga Helena Strommertz who both immagrated from Sweden. The family lived in the Dekota Territory during Charles Arthur Lindholm's youth. His mother died of an illnness leaving him and three other siblings motherless at a young age. He was then taken in by his uncle Axel Theodore Lindholm to recieve a good education. His uncle Axle was a writer and poet, born on May 1853, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
On June 15,1898, Charles Arthur Lindholm enlisted in the 1st Co. of U.S. volunteer Signal Corps. He served in the Spanish American War and was discharged Janurary 24, 1899. He studied for the stage, and toured the U.S. and Canada with John Griffith Co. in 1900. He also played with S Labadis Faust Company and Quo Vadis Company in the south in 1901. He was a member of the Dick Ferris Stock Company. He wrote his own one act play, "The Man From Minnesota," and starred in it as Charles Lutefisk. On Februrary 13,1913 he married Flora Amanda Kramer from Kenyon Minnesota.
