Historical Note

The Ely, Nevada Masonic Lodge was established in 1905. The majority of the historical materials within the collection are from the early 1900s, though the lodge remained operational up through the 1970s.

Administrative Information

Arrangement

The collection is arranged into four series: membership and meeting materials, correspondence, supplies, and financial materials. The correspondence is arranged chronogically; general correspondence can be found at the end of the series and is organized chronologically by month and year. Supplies consists of masonic catalogues that have by grouped by publisher. Financial materials consists of four subseries: Ely Lodge No. 29 account, charity fund account, H.J. Mariott Sect'y account, and cash books and expenditures. Within each subseries materials are arranged chonologically by month and year.
