Historical NoteReturn to Top
Lee Franklin Zimmerman did his B.A. in the University of Wisconsin and received his master's degree in library science from the University of Illinois. He worked as a director of the library division of State Department of Education in Minnesota, chief librarian at the University of Idaho, and president of Idaho State Library Association. He was a member of the Church of Immaculate Conception and life member of Elks. Zimmerman was born 17 March 1898 in Pennsylvania. He died 27 January 1990 in North Carolina.
Richard Beck was born 1 July 1928 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Thomas College in 1949 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He revieved his bachelor and master degrees in library science from the University of Minnesota. He worked for the University of Idaho Library from 1957 to 1988 at which time he retired as Associated Dean of Libraries. He was married to Janice Hollenbeck. Beck died 5 March 2010.
