Content Description
The collection comprises a file including brochures, memoranda, papers, newspaper clippings, and statements and testimonies related to the relocation and internment of Japanese-American civilians during World War II, and subsequent attempts to provide for redress and reparations for individuals and families affected by internment. The file includes transcripts and materials from the Seattle hearing of the Commission of Wartime Relocation and internment of Civilians in 1981. Most materials in the collection are copies rather than original documents.

Custodial History
Materials were collected by Carol Teshima and donated initially to Bellingham Public Library (BPL), which later transferred the collection to the Center for Pacific Northwest Studies. Carol Teshima formally donated this collection to the Center for Pacific Northwest Studies in 2021.
Acquisition Information
Bellingham Public Library transferred the collection to the Center for Pacific Northwest Studies on May 23, 2013.
