John E. Boos was known as a collector of Civil War memorabilia, especially ephemera that pertained to President Abraham Lincoln and his legacy. He was also a freelance writer and historian.

Collection contains clippings from the Casper Tribune, a newspaper article by John Boos, 2 letters, and a speech before the Monarch Club in New York in 1936 titled “Abraham Lincoln, Farewell to Neighbors.”
