Historical Note
Michael Porjes (1941-2008) was Forrest J. Ackerman’s step-son. He was the son of Mathilde “Wendayne” Wahrmann Ackerman, who married Forrest J. Ackerman in 1951.
Content Description
Collection contains English-language translations of German-language novellas from the "Perry Rhodan" space-opera franchise. (These translations, for which Forrest Ackermann was the managing editor and Wendayne Ackermann was the translator-in-chief and series coordinator, were published by Ace Books in the 1970s). There are also writings by Stanton A. Coblentz, Joe May, and Hans Kafka, as well as publications (including issues of "Famous Monsters of Filmland," for which Forrest J. Ackerman was editor-in-chief), publicity and advertising materials, and correspondence.
