Content Description
This collection contains two homestead certificates for the Olson family upon their settlement in the Deary, ID area between 1900 and 1904. Andrew Olson immigrated from Sweden and was a longtime resident of the area. This material includes details of the land that Olson homesteaded.
Historical Note
The original Olson Farm was homesteaded by Andrew Olson, an immigrant from Sweden. The homestead was for 160 acres. Andrew acquired more acreage from adjacent neighbor land owners, including 160 acres from Ole Pederson. These land deeds are contained in this collection.
