Content Description
The Bellingham Herald regional development drawings and maps were originally donated to the Bellingham Herald by local economic interests. The materials document regional planning and proposed improvement projects throughout Whatcom County, as well as roads, neighborhoods, and various legal boundaries in the area.
Maps date from 1967-1992 with the majority of them from the 1970's. They include Bellingham, Sudden Valley, Puget Sound and Coastal Commercial Salmon and Marine Fish-Shellfish Management and Catch reporting areas and a 1982 orthophoto map of Whatcom County. Architectural drawings date from 1980-1989 and are chiefly of proposed projects in Bellingham, Blaine, the Ferndale area and the Mt. Baker School District.
