Historical Note
Nancy Anderson was a Carbon County, Wyoming historian. Nancy attended the University of Wyoming, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in American Studies and a master’s degree in English. Her interest in Carbon County history covered five decades of her life and led to her involvement in many projects related to the history of her county, including gathering oral histories and working on documentaries. Nancy also owned the Lora Webb Nichols House in Encampment, Wyoming and attempted to get the house added to the National Historic Landmark registry.

This collection contains a VHS tape titled “The Iron Road” from 1990 and reel-to-reel audio tapes containing oral history interviews with John Henry Crawford, a Hanna Mine Boss, conducted by his daughter in 1980.
