Historical Note

Senator Henry Martin Jackson was a politician out of Washington State. He served as a Senator from 1953 to 1983 and was Chair of the Democratic National Committee in 1960-1961. Jackson was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1941 to 1953.
