Historical Note

Conrad Kercher received his Bachelor’s degree from Montana State University and his PhD from Cornell University. He became an agriculture professor at the University of Wyoming College of Agriculture in 1954 and worked there for 42 years. Kercher donated and volunteered in organizations such as the Cowboy Joe Club, the Cliff and Martha Hansen Livestock Teaching Arena, experimental classes at the University Stock Farm, and helped in the construction of the new Animal Livestock Center Facility. He was also a board member on the Wyoming Territorial Park Historic Association (WTPHA) and assisted with the restoration and re-purposing of the University of Wyoming Stock Farm into the Wyoming Territorial Prison Historic Park.
