Historical Note
Ven Te Chow (1919-1981) was a hydrologist who specialized in hydraulic and civil engineering. Beginning in 1948, Chow taught Civil and Hydrosystems Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also founded and served as the first president of the International Water Resources Association.

Collection contains books on hydraulics and publications by Chow that were a part of the Hydraulic Engineering Series of the University of Illinois; issues of the Journal of Hydraulics division of the American Society of Civil Engineers, with contributions by Chow; and other publications by Chow.
