Biographical Note
Playwright and director of the drama program at the University of Washington for more than 30 years. Glenn Hughes was born in 1894 and died in 1964.

Collection of materials from the professional and personal life of Glenn Hughes including materials from his first wife Babette Hughes, Christmas cards, postcard and menus from various travels around the world.

Scene from "A Midsummer Night's Dream," June 20, 1952 (theater program, directed by Hughes, performed at the Brennen's, signed by most of the cast).
Topical Sonnet, 23 April 1962 (By Hughes, written for Shakespeare's birthday, mimeographed. Signed with a note from Hughes to Nane and Jim [Brennen] dated 5-4-62).

Separated Material: Signed copies of "New Plays for Mummers," "Three Blind Mice, Libretto," and "The Dream and the Deed" as well as a copy of "An Exhibition, The Glenn Hughes Drama and Imagist Poetry Collection" were separated from the papers for cataloging.
