Historical Note
Floyd L. McElroy (b. 1898) worked for the investment firm of Shaw, Loomis & Sayles (later Loomis, Sayles & Co.) from 1927-1963, serving as its president from 1950-1963.

Collection contains notebooks and reports on investments and Loomis, Sayles & Co.; a manuscript and a copy of a privately printed book by McElroy entitled "Investment Counsel: A Profession"; speeches; articles on investments; a small amount of correspondence; and miscellaneous other materials.
