Biographical Note

Helen Waldbaum Sprincin (1915-2000) was the granddaughter of clothing merchant Solomon Rogers (1860-1946) and his wife Eva Abrams Rogers (1862-1961). Solomon Rogers was a Seattle clothing merchant who with his wife purchased the Stimson mansion at 128 Aloha St. on Queen Anne Hill in 1903. The Stimson-Rogers mansion (as it came to be called) occupied the entire block with a verandah all around offering views of Lake Union, Puget Sound and the city. The Rogers family lived in the house until the death of Eva Rogers in January 1961.
