Historical Note

The Seattle Union Record was a labor newspaper published from 1899 to 1928. For most of its life it was published by the Central Labor Council of Seattle; Harry Ault was the paper's editor from 1912 to 1928. The paper was published weekly from 1899 until 1918, when it became a daily. The paper played an important role in the Seattle General Strike of 1919.
