Biographical Note

The Washington State Psychological Association was formed in 1947 with the mission of supporting psychologists and students of psychology to maintain vitality in the profession. The WSPA holds twice-annual conferences, offers continuing education and a career center for professional psychologists and students, provides a forum for member committees and task forces on varied topics, publishes the newsletter The Washington Psychologist, and provides an online referral service for the public.

Past directors of the WSPA have included: F. Young (1960s-1970s), L.Ehle (1980), D. Rost (1985-1992), Melby Cameron (1993-2001), Douglas Wear (2001- ).
