Historical Note

Elizabeth Wright Ingraham (1922-2013) was born to Hazel Lundin and John Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright. She met her future husband, Gordon Ingraham, while both were studying at Taliesin, the architectural school founded by Frank Lloyd Wright. The couple found an architecture firm called Ingraham and Ingraham that designed more than 90 homes. Wright later formed her own firm call Elizabeth Wright Ingraham and Associates. She founded the Wright-Ingraham Institute in 1970 to encourage and develop opportunities contributing to the conservation, preservation and wise use of human and natural resources. She also started an International exchange program called Crossroads in affiliation with Colorado College, and co-founded the Women's Forum in Colorado.
