Historical Note

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia was a national social fraternity founded in 1898 with the primary goal to advance the cause of music in America. Pacific University was the home of a very active chapter known as Mu Chi throughout the 1960s-1980s. The local chapter hosted a number of events on campus such as Carnival, American Music Concert, Spring Sing, Clipper Club, Sweetheart Sing for Valentine's Day, and Pledge recital. They also participated in events around campus such as Music in May and put together a group float for the Balladtown Parade.
