Biographical Note

Born Isaac Percy Sether on February 14, 1886, Percy was a member of the Phi Chi pharmacy fraternity and graduated from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy in 1907. He passed his Washington State Board Pharmacy Exams in October 1907 and went on to become a pharmacist in various locations in Washington State and Montana. He married Ida Redden on June 8th, 1918 in Great Falls, Montana. He died March 31, 1937 and is interred at Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane, Washington.

Content Description

Collection includes photos of University of Washington campus events, activities and students in Seattle, Washington. Images of building exteriors include Lewis Hall, Clark Hall, the Armory/Gymnasium, the Canoe House, and interior photos of the Denny Hall chemistry classroom during class. Campus Days activities include creating trails, clearing brush, work breaks and meals. Other student activities include the 1907 University of Washington Rowing Team and canoe trips out to Pharmacy Point. Group portraits on the University of Washington Campus include Percy Sether and other identified students. Many of the images were photographed by Sether's classmate Edwin C. King.
