Historical Note

Since the 1950s, the Whitman College and Northwest Archives has maintained a general collection of photographs related to Walla Walla County. In the past, photographs may have been seperated from the collection in which they were donated and added to the Walla Walla photographs collection. Archivists do occassionally add single photograph donations to this collection, but photographs are no longer routinely seperated from their collection.

Processing Note

The finding aid for this collection is compiled from an internal inventory that was created and maintained by past archives staff. The list was migrated in 2018 to make it publically accessible. Past archivists roughly arranged the collection into 12 different series.
