Historical Note

Edward R. Lonsdale (1879-1965) was a general contractor and part owner of the Lonsdale Brothers Construction Company. Nettie B. Middlebrook Lonsdale (1888-1960) was the daughter of Robert Brinsmade Middlebrook (1855-1921), a civic figure and judge in Kansas City, Missouri, and Louise E. Ruter Middlebrook (1858-1937). They were married in 1914 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Collection contains newspaper clippings concerning Judge Robert B. Middlebrook; a memorial record of Kansas City and Jackson County, Missouri; an annual report of Boone College in Wuchang, China by Reverend James Jackson; and three Bibles, of which one contains information about the James R. Middlebrook family.
