- Collection consists of photocopy newspaper articles written by Edward Daniel Kingsley, regarding preparation for life in the Alaska gold rush; biographical and genealogical information; a will, death certificate, and birth certificate for George Archibald Kingsley; and miscellaneous documents relating to Kingsley family members. Edward D. Kingsley (1868-1940), originally from Illinois, came to Portland, Oregon, in 1900. In 1902, he organized West Oregon Lumber Company. In 1835, he established Kingsley Lumber Company in Linnton.

Biographical Note
Edward D. Kingsley (1868-1940), originally from Illinois, came to Portland, Oregon, in 1900. In 1902, he organized West Oregon Lumber Company. In 1835, he established Kingsley Lumber Company in Linnton.
