Biographical Note
Frame-maker Lloyd E. Jensen was born in Washington in 1895. Throughout his career, he framed artwork for many well-known Northwest artists and art patrons, including his wife, Dorothy Jensen, whom he married in 1919. Dorothy Jensen was a painter, print-maker, and one of the founders of the Women Painters of Washington. The couple had a daughter, Doris J. Carmin. Lloyd E. Jensen died in 1990.

Account books, receipts, correspondence, datebooks, and other materials relating to Lloyd E. Jensen's framing business. Correspondence includes orders for frames from Alaskan artists C. "Rusty" Heurlin, Sydney Laurence, and Fred Machetanz, as well as correspondence about the life of Sydney Laurence.
